Antoine Mangalibi Ghonda (born February 19, 1965 in Leuven, Belgium) was the foreign minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from June 30, 2003 until July 23, 2004.
Ghonda grew up in the Bas Congo province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which was then known as Zaire.
They include Ghonda's criticism of troops from Rwanda and Uganda operating on Congolese soil, Ghonda's friendship with Joseph Kabila, and the mentioning of Ghonda by George W. Bush as one of the three pillars of the new Congo, with Bemba not being mentioned.

Ghonda was being replaced, following a series of diplomatic failings, which included sloppy running of the country's embassies abroad, confusion in the management of passports and poor performance of the ministry's staff.
Ghonda's resistance to greater Ugandan involvement in various parts of the Congolese peace process, in particular a joint border verification mission with Rwanda, and wanted the minister to be sacked.
Ghonda had been doing a good job since being one of the first former rebels to arrive in Kinshasa and begin working toward unifying a country that has been torn apart by years of war and dictatorship.

The MLC statement blamed Ghonda for running the foreign ministry poorly on day-to-day matters including the management of passports.
Congo's five-year civil war, in which some three million people died, mainly from hunger and disease, was declared over last year but instability has continued in the east, near the border with Uganda and Rwanda.
