The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce awarded its 2006 Gold Medal to Anton Agius, the renowned sculptor, in recognition of his achievements and interest in the Arts.
Anton Agius was awarded first prize in the Human Rights Art Exhibition in Valletta in 1968.
He was awarded the Onorificenza Per Meriti by the Associazone Culturale Amici di Pan of Florence in 1979 and also the Targa d'Oro by the Associazione Nazionale Artistica Culturale, Italia in 1982.

I don’t think anyone really remembers the trains in Malta or in matter of fact about their history, because there is no longer a Railway in Malta since 1931 unless you’re born before 1925 or you’re close to 80 years old.
