Anton Sikharulidze - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anton Tarielyevich Sikharulidze was born October 25, 1976.
Before being paired with Berezhnaya, Sikharulidze was World Junior Champion and finished as high as sixth at Senior Worlds with Maria Petrova, who went on to become World Champion in 2000 with Alexei Tikhonov.
In 1998, after a very ugly fall during the final moments of their long program, Anton joked that it was "their new landing position." During the SLC controversy, Anton's humorous comments did much to diffuse a tense situation.
