From Lwów came: Antoni and Zbigniew Lomnicki, Stozek, Ruziewicz, Zylinski, Banach, Chwistek, Kaczmarz, Nikliborc and Schauder.
I was sitting in the lecture room of the Department of Mathematics and was preparing my exercises for mathematical analysis led by Dr. Antoni Raabe, who was killed in 1942 by the Nazis in Auschwitz.
In October 1941, I started to work in a small optical factory on Zadworzanska Street, while my father became a teacher in a lower school of chemistry.
