Antonio Rinaldi (1710-1794) was an Italian architect, trained by Luigi Vanvitelli, who worked mainly in Russia.
In the 1770s, Rinaldi served as the main architect of Count Orlov, who was Catherine's prime favourite and the most powerful man in the country.
Rinaldi's last works represent a continuous transition from the dazzling rococo of interiors to the reserved and clear-cut treatment of facades characteristic of Neoclassicism.

In 1754 Antonio Rinaldi became the architect of the so called "small court," which is how people referred to those close to the heir to the throne, the future Emperor Petr III, who suggested that Rinaldi work in Oranienbaum.
In 1762 Rinaldi became the court architect of Empress Catherine II and also Petersburg's head architect.
Between 1764 and 1775 the milestones in Tzarskoje Selo were erected according to designs by Antonio Rinaldi.

The name of Antonio Vivaldi has appeared in numerous music dictionaries and encyclopedias since 1732 when the Musikalisches Lexicon oder Musikalische Bibliothek of Johann Gottfried Walther was published in Leipzig.
Rinaldi collected Vivaldi materials and proceeded to present them in an orderly fashion continuing the use of opus numbers.
Rinaldi reserved his consecutively numbered opus 16 through 67 for instrumental works.

Rinaldi also showed great interest in the construction of the St. Andrew’s Church and the Royal Palace, pointing to the sound choice of the site for construction and the connection with the surrounding landscapes.
In one of his letters he pointed out that Rinaldi had been working for him for 5 years and that this fact was already a reference for an architect.

He chose to preserve the external face of the palace facades, whilst redecorating the interiors of the state halls, the church and the private apartments.

He was Born in Edinburgh, Scotland about 1886, his fathers name is Biagio Rinaldi and his mothers name is Benedette Rinaldi, he had 9 siblings, Mary, Julio, Guiseppe, Jamatisto( unsure if that is his correct name) Peter, Christine, Rumilda, Alfred and angelo.
Although Antonio was born in Edinburgh along with 4 of his siblings the others where born in Lanark, Glasgow, Scotland.
I was wondering if you have any certificates or other information that may have Antonios parents names on it or siblings.
