Change English Name of Chamaeza ruficauda to Brazilian Antthrush
This all having been said, there is nothing inaccurate in the name "Rufous-tailed Antthrush", and it has the advantage of a long history, and agrees with the scientific name ruficauda.
The name "Brazilian Antthrush" has some appeal, because it's adoption would circumvent any confusion stemming from application of the old name of "Rufous-tailed" to only one of the subsequent splits.
The name "Rufous-tailed Antthrush" is long established, accurate (even if not overly helpful), and is in perfect agreement with the Latin name.

Black-faced Antthrush - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This antthrush is a common and widespread forest bird which builds a leaf-lined nest in a cavity in a hollow branch or stump; two white eggs are laid.
The Black-faced Antthrush is similar in general appearance to a rail, with a dumpy body, horizontal carriage, stout bill and short cocked tail.
The upperparts are rufous brown, and the underparts are paler brown, except for the fl face and throat, and rufous under the tail and behind the eye.

Change English Name of Chamaeza turdina to Scalloped Antthrush
Ridgely and Tudor (1994) and Sibley and Monroe (1990) coined the name "Scalloped Antthrush" for turdina/chionogaster, to "emphasize the difference in breast pattern from its Brazilian relative" (Ridgely and Tudor 1994).
While "Scalloped Antthrush" may be more descriptive of turdina/chionogaster relative to ruficauda, it does not convey especially useful information, and the two species have such hugely disjunct ranges that confusion between them is not really an issue.
: The name of "Schwartz's Antthrush" was suggested by the person responsible for its recognition as a separate species, in honor of an ornithologist who in many ways laid the foundation for that work.

We also saw a lovely Black-headed Antthrush and a female Spot-crowned Antvireo, as well as a close White-whiskered Puffbird, an even closer Southern Nightingale Wren, a very fast and hard to see Ruddy Foliage-gleaner, and a Tawny-faced Gnatwren.
We heard a Barred Antthrush calling while we were birding along the road, and Iain thought we had a chance of seeing it if we climbed up towards it.
We looked around and there was a second Antthrush perched about a metre away.

The bird had a very short tail, very stubby wings, was a rich chocolate brown on the back, wings, and tail, had a dark face and a light line either over or through the eye area.
The illustrations in various guides point only to the Black-faced Antthrush (Formicarius analis) of Peterson, Edwards, and Clements or the same bird called the Mexican Antthrush (F. moniliger) by Howell and Webb.
However, this species is supposed to be in southeastern Mexico and not on the Pacific coast.

We heard it in the bamboo below us so we crawled down into the bamboo and sat in the middle in the darkest spot and played a tape.
Sure enough, the Antthrush entered the dome created by the stand of bamboo, circled us slowly calling all the time, and lept up onto a rock forty feet away to stand erect like a chicken and alternately preen and call while we watched, rapt...

 Toucan Tours Tour reports
The whining song of the Black-and-Gold Cotinga accompanied us for the upper stages of the trail and we had excellent views of a party of these birds as the canopy came level with the trail.
After spending as much time possible with the birds - they stayed in a tree perched for 20 minutes or so while the rest of the flock moved on - we moved to another part of the forest fragments.
The tour had simply been one of the most successful to date with a high percentage of the ‘targeted’ species seen.

The sheer variety of bird families we observed included trumpeters, gnateaters and seedsnipes, over forty species of hummingbirds, colourful tanagers, cotingas and trogons and a large variety of antbirds, antpittas and antthrushes.

Impeyan Pheasant: It was named in honor of a Lady Impey, supposedly the first to keep it in captivity.
I know there is a city called Colma just south of San Francisco, CA (Colma is noted, by the way, for its cemetaries!), but I doubt that that's the namesake of the Antthrush!

The tour started really well when only five minutes after leaving Tandayapa lodge at first light, we encountered a Rufous-breasted Antthrush feeding along the Potoo Trail (in company with the usual Chestnut-capped Brush-finches feeding in the same area), once again illustrating how good the trails are for this highly-sought after bird.
A familiar sound in the roadside forest sent us rushing in there armed with a mini-disc that helped us coax in an unbelievably confiding Black-headed Antthrush, which was still being talked of by everyone at the end of the trip (despite the many rare and interesting birds seen after this one).
The bird simply just kept coming in to check us out giving us all a very memorable encounter with this shy denizen of the forest floor.
