Ingegjerd Olavsdatter, daughter of Olof Skötkonung Eriksson of Sweden and Estrid of the Obotrites, was born circa 1001 in Sigtuna, Sweden, died from 10 Feb 1049 to 1050 in Vyšhorod near Kiev, and was buried in Saint Sophia Cathedral, Kiev.

Stenkil (1028–1066) was a Jarl and King of Sweden from 1060 to his death.
According to Hervarar Saga, he was married to Maria Anundsdotter, the daughter of the former king Anund Jacob, and consequently the son-in-law of the former king Emund the Old.
Stenkil was a great chieftain and died in his bed in Sweden about the time that Harald Hardrada of Norway died in England.

We do not know anything abou t her family or where she came, but we can, on good grounds, assume that sh e was the daughter of a Obotrik prince and native of Mecklenburg.
About 1007 she gave birth to the son Anund Jakob which was to become King of Sweden.
