The Aonach Eagach (the "notched ridge") forms the north wall of Glen Coe from above Clachaig Inn to the Pass of Glencoe.
For a normal tramper, the traverse of the Aonach Eagach is reserved for summer days with good weather.
Note that some authors state that you have to traverse The Chancellor to do the Aonach Eagach but this is not the case.

This unnamed point is the easternmost high point on the Aonach Eagach ridge on the north side of the Glen Coe valley.
The point is too low to qualify for a Munro (915m), but is still ranked "in my book" as the primary factor is higher than 100m.
The visible trail ends here, but hit the Aonach Eagach ridge by heading straight north, or north-west.

The Aonach Eagach (IPA: [ɯnəx egəx]; Gaelic, 'notched ridge') is a rocky ridge lying to the north of Glen Coe in the Scottish Highlands, boasting two Munro summits.
The Aonach Eagach is normally tackled from the Glen Coe (south) side in an east–west traverse.
From Allt-na-reigh near the head of Glen Coe it is possible to ascend grass slopes leading to Am Bodach (a subsidiary Munro top), before continuing eastwards along the ridge to the first Munro proper, Meal Dearg.

On the weekend of the 6th of September 2003 Gary and I headed up to Glencoe.
I was a good weekend (weatherwise) and we were both hoping to complete the Aonach Eagach ridge, which had beat us that February.

 wilderness travels recent trips early 2005
On Saturday we climbed 'Big Top' on the Aonach Dubh buttress of Bidean Nam Bian - a 450ft (4 pitches) steep, exposed climb with the hard part right at the very top.
On Sunday we did the classic Aonach Eagach ridge scramble- when we got to the end we were enjoying it so much, we turned around and did it again!
Martina and I spent the night at the Port Charlotte Hotel for a bit of luxury and it rounded off a great (long) weekend.
