In wheat the dominating Aphididae was Sitobion avenae and in barley Rhopalosiphum padi.
There was a tendency towards higher populations of Aphididae specific predatory insects in the organically grown period, especially of juvenile stages in barley (Figs.
In conventional wheat, the reason for the late peak in the population of Aphididae specific predators could be, that the predators were able to recover from the insecticide applications.
