		La funzione del segnale a vibrazione delle api (Apis mellifera) durante la fase di ricerca di nuova dimora di uno sciame è stata investigata togliendo le api vibranti dallo sciame e esaminando gli eventuali effetti sulla 'waggle dancing' effettuata per la scelta della nuova dimora, preparazione al volo e movimento dello sciame.
		I risultati mostrano che api abituate a bassi flussi di nettare aumentano il loro trasferimento rispetto al controllo.

		Dal momento che api e fuchi (e varroe NDT)sono soggetti a deriva da un alveare all'altro le api adulte sono in grado di trasmettere il fungo nell'apiario, una situazione potenzialmente utile per l'apicoltore.
		La LOEC di imidacloprid risulta più bassa per le api estive (12 µg kg-1) che per le api invernali (48 µg kg-1), il che significa una sensibilità molto maggiore delle api estive rispetto a quelle invernali nei confronti del fitofarmaco.
		Quando le disponibilità nettarifere sono ricche, ma raggruppate, il modello prevede che le api siano sensibili al livello di importazione, utilizzando una soglia più alta nei giorni in cui il nettare non è disponibile rispetto ai giorni in cui vi è disponibilità.
