| | Spotlight on APOLLO SUNSHINE |
 | | While it is true that Apollo Sunshine has been compared to the all of the above, most notably the Lips (The Boston Phoenix) and the heyday of Elephant Six (The Boston Globe), their first record, Katonah, finds Apollo Sunshine coming into their own. |
 | | While their live shows may expand into a circus of friends, acquaintances, cheerleaders, priests, clowns, and/or confetti, the core of Apollo Sunshine is a trio: Jesse Gallagher (vocals, bass, keyboards), Sam Cohen (guitar, vocals, pedal steel), and Jeremy Black (drums/percussion.), who met while attending college in Boston and are now in their early 20’s. |
 | | A little bit, but then it changes again — oh, those “oohs” were so Beach Boys, but there’s something more to itÂ…What it is, of course, is Apollo Sunshine, borrowing from a wide pool of pop resources, but creating something that is ultimately and completely their own creation. |
