| | IGM: Macintouch: Apple 'secretly' filtering Mac.com mail (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-26) |
 | | If mail from our lists, which are not open relays, process no SPAM, and are all manual-subscribe (meaning people had to request to be on the list), is being blocked, that means that other "legitimate" mail is also being blocked. |
 | | Again, while I agree with the *idea* behind the filtering that is going on, my view is that if Apple is advertising Mac.com addresses as useful email accounts, they should at least make sure that users are getting their legitimate mail. |
 | | This story, along with the one where Apple is removing files and blocking access to mac.com web pages/ftp because they are "too popular," makes me wonder if everyone with a decent level of knowledge will set up their own servers for http, mail, ftp, etc. |
