Applegate has starred in movies that have ranged from the cheesy (1991’s Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead) to the B variety (1998’s Kiss of Fire—whose video box boasts the tag line “She was lost in a world of seduction and betrayal”) to the just plain bad (1998’s Mark Wahlberg comedy The Big Hit).
Applegate considers it more a humdrum fact of life than a burden that some casting directors continue to associate her with a former TV show.
Those who have worked with Applegate recently will tell you that her sitcom past is a strength, not a liability, and that 12 years of delivering one-liners in front of a live studio audience has given her a comedic tool box befitting a Borscht Belt veteran.

 The Applegate Partnership
The community-based Applegate Partnership is comprised of industry, conservation groups, governmental agencies, research scientists and residents cooperating to protect and restore the health of the Applegate River watershed, and to provide economic and community health.
The idea for the Applegate Partnership was born in the minds of two unlikely collaborators-Jack Shipley, an avid environmentalist, and Jim Neal, a long-time logger from Redmond, Oregon and co-director of the Aerial Forest Management Foundation.
Applegate Partnership, regardless of its effectiveness at improving environmental and economic quality, can be called a success simply because it moved beyond people and issues and the deeply ingrained gridlock that had been so pervasive in the Applegate watershed to positive relationships developed between polarized groups, agencies, and the community: a common vision was attained.
