OMNISOFT Forums: Outlook Shadow Appointment duration and status...
create a shadow appointment, it defaults to making the appointment so that in Outlook it is one hour in duration and "Busy" (as opposed to "Free" or "Out of the Office").
Depending upon the reson for the alert, ie, a medication that takes 1 minute to do or an appointment that may be expected to last 30 minutes or 1 hour.
I decided this because these generated alerts are really meant to be just a visual indication of an upcoming alert on your homescreen, and not really a full-fledge outlook appointment.

Normally, when you snooze an outlook appointment, the appointment time stays the same, its just the alert beep is delayed a few minutes.
Since the home screen on Smartphones can only show one upcoming alert at a time, I am thinking that it would be better to delete the outlook shadow appointment if you snooze an alert.
But, because the homescreen can only display one appointment at a time (without spending some money for a third-party plug-in), keeping that snooze appointment in outlook will "hog" the display so other appointments won't get displayed until you dismiss the original alert.
