On April 20 the Westpac helicopter was called to Waiheke to take a pregnant woman to Auckland, but was notified en route that their assistance was no longer required as the woman has safely delivered the baby.
On Friday, April 16 a 39-year-old Onetangi man was charged with possession of cannabis for supply, after a large quantity of cannabis was found when police executed a warrant at his property.
Of the 55 offences on Waiheke, 23 were for road user charges for diesel vehicles, with the remaining 32 for a range of offences, largely expired warrants of fitness.

Went to Western Presbyterian Church with my friend April, and saw the movie Bonhoeffer, about a German theologian who protested Nazi activities and ideology and was ultimately executed for participation in a plot to assassinate Hitler.
While at times I question UU liturgical practices, I need reminders like this that what I saw was an exercise in the freedom to look beyond the liturgical norms we have been given in order to capture or claim meanings and traditions outside the norm.
While rites disconnedcted from daily experience are a matter of legitimate liturgical concern, in this instance the very strnageness of the act may reinforce its signicance.
