		Arapahoe County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado.
		Arapahoe County was one of the original 17 counties designated on November 1, 1861, shortly after the creation of the Colorado Territory.
		In the county the population is spread out with 26.70% under the age of 18, 8.60% from 18 to 24, 33.10% from 25 to 44, 23.00% from 45 to 64, and 8.60% who are 65 years of age or older.

		Tracy Baker, Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder, was recalled Tuesday as 40,994 voters, or 87.5 percent, wanted his ouster while 5,845 votes, or 12.4 percent were cast in his favor.
		Baker, a Republican who worked for the county for about 22 years, was urged to resign by members of his own party last year following a disclosure that he was sexually involved with his assistant deputy clerk.
