Arcana Evolved offers a lot but it might be necessary for new players to allow themselves to think outside of the box a little to fully appreciate and enjoy the benefits of this product.
Arcana Evolved raises the bar, it is quite honestly one of the most exciting, original and innovative pieces of work to come out since Dave Arneson and Gary Gygax came up with The Fantasy Game (which thankfully they renamed Dungeons and Dragons).

A magnificent proof that Arcana are back in a leading position among the host of bands on the romantic/ethereal fringe of the darkwave scene.
They adopted a less somber character, yet were still riddled with melancholy and sorrow as well as with the characteristic choirs, orchestrations and percussions of their debut, which had become even bolder this time.
Arcana built grand and bold orchestrations where ethereal string, piano, oboe and clarinet melodies were allowed to rise from the keyboards in order to complement the majestic and epic percussion and the male and female choirs and solo vocals which seemed to blend into it all in an intimately compromising way.

Of course, Arcana is not simply a poor man's Dead Can Dance; the group has always been more inclined to craft soundscapes than songs and the vocals rarely take center stage.
The atmosphere of Arcana's recordings has always been a bit cold and distant, almost as if they defy you to glimpse into their world.

Assuming for a moment that Major Arcana card number 0, which is the fool and generally interpreted as the initiate starting out on his journey, it would follow that, given the sequence of illustrations on the temple's walls, that indeed the) card would be the initiate of Serapis.
Khnemu is the god of the Nile, and since in the major arcana, water in the cards represents the flow of consciousness, it follows that the flow starts from Khnemu, the Nile (at least for Egyptians it would).
Note that many of the arcana of the Temple of Serapis are common motifs, and as such, can be found in clay, stone, papyrus, etc.; but never has been found in a group, incomplete set or not.

Unlike the minor arcana, which were most like derived from already existent packs of playing cards, the major arcana are unique, and constitute the heart and soul of tarot.
It is not really known whether or not the major arcana were intended to be anything other than a series of trumps for the game of tarocchi, but it is relatively certain that they drew from and represent popular views of religious and mystical concepts which permeated renaissance art and philosophy at the time.
Although insights into the minor arcana can be gained solely through intuition and a basic understanding of numerological and elemental concepts, the major arcana are more difficult and should be studied in-depth.
