HI and RH Albrecht Friedrich Rudolf, Archduke of Austria, Prince of Hungary and Bohemia, Herzog von Teschen (born August 3, 1817 in Vienna; died February 2, 1895, Arco (Italy) was Austrian Habsburg general.
As the son of Archduke Charles an Princess Henriette of Nassau-Weilburg (1797-1829).
He became the commanding general of Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Salzburg in 1845 and fought the Revolution of 1848.

Indeed Friedrich foresaw the potentially disastrous consequences of military confrontation on Austria-Hungary's numerous fronts: forever in Conrad's shadow he was however unable to avert the course of history.

Archduke Friedrich was a knight of the Orders of the Golden Fleece, Saint Hubert, the Annunciata, the Black Eagle of Prussia, the Rue Crown of Saxony, Grand Cross Orders of Leopold of Belgium, Saints Cyril and Methodius, Charles III, etc., Royal Prussian Gen-Field Marshal, and many others.
Friedrich was another nephew of Albrecht's, and the two were very close.  So much so, that upon the death of Albrecht on 18 February 1895, the entire fortune of the Archduke passed to Friedrich, who became the Third Duke of Teschen and was suddenly one of the richest men in the Empire.
The death of Archduke Friedrich in 1936 was the biggest royal event for Hungary since the coronation of King Karl in 1916.

Having been forced to renounce the exercise of government in Austria (without abdicating as Emperor on 11 November 1918), and as King of Hungary two days later, he was declared deposed by the new republican government and expelled from Austria in April 1919.
The Archduke Otto is a member of the European Parliament for a Bavarian constituency and is leader of the Pan-European Movement.
