Archie Comics is a series of comics featuring Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Forsythe "Jughead" Jones.
Archie was conceived by John L. Goldwater[?] who was influenced by the Andy Hardy[?] movie series that starred Mickey Rooney.
Archie made his first appearance in issue 22 of Pep Comics in December 1941 to replace Madam Satan.

There is nothing you get to learn from Archie Comics……..but everything is not about learning & Archie Comics is just for entertainment.If you all remember than, we even had our own desi version of Archies in the film “Kutch Kutch hota hai”.Even though the film was super hit it was nothing compared to The Archies.
Archie & his pals has made us laugh & smile from the last 60yrs & they are not through yet.Because of his witty & uncanny habits, Archie has become a household name & every body loves him & his friends.

I read Archie comics from age 5 to 13--they were like old friends.
Except for some unnecessary sexual innuendo which didn't add much to the story, this was a tender hearted look at the power of friendship to endure teenage angst and be the better for it.

As I recall, it had a 75 share which will never again be repeated what with today's quality (or lack thereof) and all sorts of other entertainment sources that weren't even imagined in 1968.
I read Archie magazines a lot back then so it was a real rush to see that they were finally getting their own TV show.
