Emigh is now 10 for 28 (35.7 percent) at the meet, and Williamson is tied for the lead in the trainer’s standings with Tom Tomillo, who has started twice as many horses (28) as his nearest rival (Tom Dorris at 14).
Rated kindly by Emigh through honest fractions, the son of Service Stripe out of the stakes winning mare Miss Delovely, increased his runaway margin of victory with every stride.

Sunday’s conditions were far from ideal, but the jockeys and horses gutted it out, and there was a winner to be found in every race.
Hawthorne was very kind to speed and horses racing on the rail opening week, but the track crew worked diligently during over the two dark days to even out the surface, and based on Friday's results, they accomplished their mission.
