Neo-progressive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Neo-progressive was an effort to fuse the complex structures and sounds of progressive rock of the 1970s (e.g., Genesis and King Crimson) to 1980s pop music.
Marillion is almost certainly the most popular neo-prog band, peaking in popularity with their albums Misplaced Childhood (1985) and Clutching at Straws (1987).
Following this peak, neo-prog declined as a genre, although these three pioneering bands are still active as of 2004, and several newer groups have worked in the same space in the 1990s and 2000s.

An arena is a circular or oval shaped public space (akin to a classical amphitheatre), designed to showcase theater, musical performances, or sporting events.
Usually, an arena is designed to accommodate a very large number of spectators, such as New York City's Madison Square Garden or Pasadena's Rose Bowl.
The term "arena" is also used loosely to refer to any event or type of event which either literally or metaphorically takes place in such a location--- often with the specific intent of comparing an idea to a sporting event, such as "the arena of war" or "the arena of love."

The arena is owned and operated by the owners of the San Jose Sharks organization, and thanks to a deal cut with the city of San Jose early in its history, the franchise pockets the profit from concerts.
And it explains why, in the last few years, the arena has gone out of its way to develop that reputation as a good place for rock concerts, mainly by hiring a talent buyer who makes sure the building puts in a bid for whatever rock tour is on the road.
