		The township land was initially a part of Grand Blanc Township and then of Argentine Township until the spring of 1838 when it was separately organized.
		In the township the population was spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 28.6% from 45 to 64, and 9.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
