	Curtea de Arges Monastery
		Coonsidering all the monuments of the residence of the Wallachian princes in Arges, the church founded by the pious prince Neagoe Basarab (1512-1521) is one of the most important contructions of art and religious architecture.
		Although unfinished, in 1517 the Prince founder decided the Monastery of Curtea de Arges to be consacrated on the Assumption of the Virgin - its dedication day - with great pomp in the presence of outstanding Orthodox religious personalities, led by the Ecumenic Patriarch Theolipt of Constantinople.
		It is worth mentioning that in 1793, when the Diocese of Arges was set up, Neagoe Basarab's foundation became episcopal residence, a rank kept till 1979.

		La un an de la terminarea, in 1898, a caii ferate care lega Pitestiul de resedinta secularei Curti Domnesti, Curtea de Arges si anume la 27 noiembrie 1899, se dadeau in exploatare si cladirile celor patru statii de cale ferata: Bascov, Merisani, astazi halta, Radu Negru, astazi halta Baiculesti si Curtea de Arges.
		In Curtea de Arges, trenul si invitatii au fost primiti de personalul feroviar al statiei si al Regionalei CF Craiova, fanfara Liceului CFR din Craiova, dar si de primarul acestui oras, prima capitala a tarii, in urma cu peste 600 ani.
		Desigur, organizatorii nu puteau sa omita, la capatul acestei manifestari, o vizita la incarcata de istorie catedrala, opera spune traditia, a legendarului Mester Manole si manastirea Curtea de Arges, oferind astfel invitatilor prilejul sa se incline cu piosenie la mormintele primilor regi ai Romaniei.
