Argyll and Bute (Earra-Ghaidheal agus Bòd in Gaelic) is one of 32 unitary council regions in Scotland, and a Lieutenancy Area.
The principal part of the council region was part of the traditional county of Argyll, excluding the Morvern area, north of Mull, which is now part of Highland.
The region also includes the Isle of Bute itself, which was part of the traditional county of Bute.
