The nervosa variety on the other hand is in very short supply and wholesales at hundreds of US$ per kilo, but is rarely available in such quantities.
The nervosa seed currently offered (FNQ) is from plants of the nervosa variety (ie like traditional Hawaiian seed) grown in Far North Queensland, in a climate similar to Hawaii.
There are no records of any traditional psychoactive use of argyreia nervosa, but in recent times the seeds have become popular for their LSD-like effects.

Ergine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ergine, also known as d-lysergic acid amide, LSA, and LA-111, is an alkaloid of the ergoline family that occurs in various species of vines of the Convolvulaceae and some species of fungi.
As the dominant alkaloid in the hallucinogenic seeds of Rivea corymbosa (ololiuhqui), Argyreia nervosa (Hawaiian baby woodrose) and Ipomoea violacea (tlitliltzin), it is often stated that ergine and/or isoergine (its epimer) is responsible for the psychedelic activity.
In fact, the effects of synthetic ergine and isoergine are not particularly psychedelic, see Mixing the Kykeon below for a summary of human trials, and Chapter 17 and entry #26 of TiHKAL for further discussion.

The anti-inflammatory activity of the hexane extract from the leaves of Argyreia nervosa Bojer was assessed in comparison with reference drugs using both acute and chronic inflammatory models.
The results obtained revealed that the hexane extract possessed marked inhibitory activity on acute phase of inflammation in a dose-related manner as seen in ethyl phenylpropiolate-induced ear edema and carrageenin-induced hind paw edema in rats.
Results obtained from the present study showed that the anti-inflammatory and analgesic action of the hexane extract might involve the inhibition of both prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis and/or release.
