		And I think even the geekiest of Mac users are not likely do do the reg edit reprogramming of their browsers.) In addition to pixel depth being a problem, Macs, which were built from ground up with graphics and typography in mind, define type and leading in an entirely different way from Windows.
		Arial is rarely found on UNIX boxes, however.
		Swiss 721 Black BT isn't likely to be on Mac systems, as it comes in the Corel Draw package, and very few Mac people use this software (because it sucks), and Mac uses that know something about typography wouldn't spend the money on the Bitstream knock off when Helvetica is much more finely crafted.

		Arial tries and fails to riff on Helvetica’s no-nonsense curves and respectful straight lines with corners lopped off at odd angles, and the Black version throws all this into bold (if you’ll pardon me) relief.
		I’m not a huge fan of Arial at all on the web, certainly not as body text, and certainly not if you have Verdana, that trusted internet friend that jumps from point size to point size so gracefully.
		And so we have Arial Black, not because I’m unaware of the aesthetic sins of Arial, but because it’s included on every current operating system and it’s very heavy.

		Pages have been designed in Photoshop to use Akzidenz Grotesk Black; I'm researching the feasibility of using HTML text to approximate the same look.
		Here is a test page: http://www.fjordaan.uklinux.net/test/bolder.html I at first considered specifying Arial Black (a "Core Web Font" [1]), but I was concerned that it would not be ubiquitous on Mac and *nix platforms.
		People pointed out that it is likely to be present on any system with Microsoft software installed on it, but that that's not enough to count on it being available.

		All the other Arial fonts in the family are opentype, and the Arial Black Italic is the only truetype font.
		It's Arial Black OpenType and Arial Black, Italic TT.
		However, I don't know why you've chosen to go with Arial (must be a reason) so that idea may not even apply.

		Arial Black is a thick font, and bolding it tends to thicken it to the point of being hard to read (especially on screen).
