Companies don't appear to understand that staggered worldwide releases aren't conducive to their anti-piracy cause - either give gamers the game at the same time, or put up with the fact that people will get it elsewhere.
Companies can't create the amount of hype that they do then expect gamers to sit back while other people play games they can't get their hands on yet.

Edison's design was a brilliant adaptation of the simple electrical circuit: the electric company sends electricity through a wire to a customer, then immediately gets the electricity back through another wire, then (this is the brilliant part) sends it right back to the customer again.
This means that an electric company can sell a customer the same batch of electricity thousands of times a day and never get caught, since very few customers take the time to examine their electricity closely.
In fact the last year any new electricity was generated in the United States was 1937; the electric companies have been merely re-selling it ever since, which is why they have so much free time to apply for rate increases.

 Willkommen beim Gerstenberg Verlag
Rotraut Susanne Berner has designed just such a book whose large-format pictures show a whole town and its surroundings: a house for several families, a farm, a railway station, a community centre, a building site, a market place, a multi-storey department store, and a large park.
These pictures tell many little stories of things that happen to people and animals on a winter day, and every child can follow these stories as they unfold through the book: How Andrea oversleeps and then keeps trying, time and again, to catch a bus.
And so they take Roberta home with them where Roberta immediately occupies Dad’s favourite armchair and gets a place of honour at the table.
