	Armory Square - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Armory Square, on the west side of Downtown Syracuse, New York, is a small shopping/arts/nightlife district surrounding the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (formerly the Discovery Center), which inhabits the former Syracuse Armory.
		Its borders are generally considered to be the circular road around the armory (Jefferson Street) to the south, Onondaga Creek to the west, Washington Street to the north, and Clinton Street to the east.
		Across the street from the armory is the Armory Square/Downtown Syracuse station of OnTrack.

		Although it was just two blocks south of the bustling activity of Clinton square, when first developed, Armory Square was considered to be on the outskirts of town.

		I think we have a great variety here in Syracuse, and the Armory Square area is a great place, a lot of other cities have similar venues and its great to be able to get around to more than once place without driving.
		I avoid the downtown/armory square bars/clubs due to many of them being geared toward the young, college crowd as well as the unavailability of free parking and high cover charges the establishments charge.
		The bars in Armory Square tend to be over priced, there needs to be a low price alternative that is still able to keep their establishment up.
