  4th Canadian Armoured Brigade
As of 1942 the 4th Canadian Armoured Brigade comprised; the Governor General's Foot Guards, The Canadian Grenadier Guards and the British Columbia Regiment.
Arriving in Normandy in July 1944, the Brigade saw service in the battles that took the Canadians from Caen to Falaise.
Unlike their peers in the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade, the 4th almost always fought in support of its affiliated 10th Canadian Infantry Brigade.

  British 7th Armoured Brigade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The brigade was formed in 1938 as the Light Armoured Brigade as part of the Mobile Division in Egypt.
After 7th Armoured Division was disbanded in 1958 the brigade adopted its insignia and nickname, perpetuating the history of the famed division.
The advance by the brigade met sporadic though fierece resistance, including an engagement between 14 Challenger 2's the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and 14 Iraqi tanks, all of the Iraqi tanks being destroyed; it was the largest tank engagement by the British Army since WWII.

 History of the 3rd NZ Division Tank Squadron
The 4th NZ Brigade was converted to an armoured unit after the disastrous battles around Ruweisat Ridge at Alamein in July 1942 where the 2nd NZ Division had been let down time and time again by British armour.
The unit is unknown but believed to be 19th Armoured as C Squadron from this unit appears to be the only ones to have also painted the Troop number inside the squadron insignia.

The Brigade was at the time in Main Barracks at Abbassia, having returned from the desert near Mersa Matruch at the end of November 1939, when it was clear that Italy was not at that time going to declare war.
The Brigade was disbanded in March 1948 and reformed in Munster in 1981.
In February 1999 the Brigade deployed to Macedonia on Operation AGRICOLA 1, and on the signing of the Military Agreement it was the first British brigade to move into Kosovo on June 12th 1999.

However, for the purpose of this scenario let us suppose that there is some impendiment to mobility (so the armoured forces dont have it all their own way), but the conflict is not taking place in mountainous terrain (or any other where the clear advantage is with the light forces).
And so brigade against brigade, the Apaches would be a leveller for the older tanks and less well trained crews we are talking about facing.
