Arnprior is a town in eastern Renfrew County, in eastern Ontario, Canada at the mouth of the Madawaska River, as it enters the Ottawa River in the Ottawa Valley.
After becoming reknowed for the despotic way he treated those on his land he was forced to vacate the area in 1840 and the area was vacant until 1851 when it became incorporated into eastern Ontario's massive timber industry.
Arnprior is located on the Trans-Canada Highway system, where Highway 417 to the east becomes the two-lane Highway 17 to the west.

This contract represents the continued commitment to complete this corridor to Arnprior.

This project will extend from Regional Road 29 to Regional Road 22 and will include construction of the platform for the new highway, two new overpass structures and a noise barrier.
