		Abba’s full-fledged disco record was still a couple of years away, but this song alone puts them in the upper class of dance pop acts in the 70s.
		Abba has never really been credited with writing “personal” songs, and though pure pop music is rarely about making confessional stances, the show-weary sentiment of “Super Trouper” is one of the most straightforwardly personal songs as you’re likely to hear on the radio.
		Abba was basically a singles band, so these two greatest hits packages are the best place to start, and for most people, to stop.

		I think that on this album, the ABBA girls (who sing the songs) are a whole lot sexier than Madonna ever was (and that was without ever having sex on stage and wearing pointy bras).
		ABBA is now ENTIRELY distanced from their unjustified "schmaltz" label here to make this a perfectly worthwhile listen.
		ABBA is not a schmaltzy band (or at least they're not a schmaltzy band at this point in their discography).

		This release (comprising songs drawn from the albums ABBA, Arrival, ABBA--The Album, and Voulez-Vous) covers the group's most inspired years (1975-1979) and every track is a winner.
		The lyrics plumb no great depths of sophistication but the pop sensibility of the songs and performances of ABBA at their best has rarely if ever been bettered, and this album is the perfect demonstration of that.

		The live album, ABBA Live (consisting of recordings made between 1977 and 1981, originally released in 1986) was a part of the remastering program in 1997, but in 2001 it was absent from the re-released CDs.
