The Lesser Key of Solomon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the King (Clavicula Salomonis Regis) is a translation of the text by Samuel Mathers and Aleister Crowley.
The Ars Theurgia Goetia ("the art of goetic theurgy") is the second section of The Lesser Key of Solomon.
The Ars Almadel also tells about the angels that are to be invoked, and explains that only reasonable and just things that are needed must be asked to them, and how the conjuration has to be made.

Goetia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goetia refers to a practice which includes the Invocation or Evocation of demons, and largely derives from the 17th century grimoire Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis, or The Lesser Key of Solomon.
The Ars Goetia refers to the first section of King Solomon's grimoire, and contains descriptions of the seventy-two demons that Solomon is said to have evoked and confined in a bronze vessel sealed by magic symbols, and that he obliged to work for him.
A revised English edition of the Ars Goetia was published in 1904 by magician Aleister Crowley, and it serves as a key component of his popular and highly influential system of magick.

 "Secrets..." Ch. 1: Medieval Magick
The Goetia is the source of the ever-popular Triangle of the Art, into which spirits are generally summoned.
This book of the Lemegeton is introduced as follows: “The Third Book, called Ars Paulina, or The Art Pauline, treateth of the Spirits allotted unto every degree of the 360 Degrees of the Zodiac; and also of the signs, and of the planets in the signs, as well as of the hours.
However, where the Ars Notoria focuses upon the gaining of rhetorical knowledge, the Sworn Book promises the gaining of the “Beatific Vision.” This is simply the Christian version of the vision of the Merkavah- wherein one achieves a vision of the Face of God through purification, fasting, and prayer.

Time has sired two predominant schools of evocational thought, though they are certainly not mutually exclusive (and I do not mean to slight the growing practice of Chaos magick; as it is an extension of the basic models of action, an understanding of the foundations is important to catch all of Chaos magick's nuances).
The first is that of the Solomonic Cycle, known as Goetia, including the Key of Solomon, the Lemegeton (the Lesser Key of Solomon) and the Sworn Book of Honorius.
This assumes to deal predominantly with "fallen" spirits, but as each of us is part of the macrocosmic whole, this conclusion is, at the least, partly false.
