The station may be one of the least-used on the whole Underground network, with just under 2m estimated entries and exits in the year 2003 (for comparison, neighbouring Holloway Road had 5.6m for the same period) [1].
Even after the surface building was rebuilt in the early 1930s and widened (with a further house being demolished), Arsenal station has one of the narrowest frontages of any underground station.
The station remains largely deserted except on matchdays; even then, it is neglected by many supporters in favour of the nearby Finsbury Park station, which in addition to having a link to the Victoria Line is also a bus and national rail interchange.

When Arsenal Football Club move to their new stadium (which will actually be closer to Holloway Road station) will the Arsenal station name be changed back to its original name?
"Arsenal" on Plimsoll Road (Piccadilly) could become "Arsenal East", "Drayton Park" could become "Arsenal Central" and "Holloway Road" (Piccadilly) could become "Arsenal West".
