	Art of Fighting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Art of Fighting was the first fighting game with a super bar, and introduced the spirit gauge and desperation move (the equivalent of super moves, often used with SNK fighting games) into the fighting game vernacular.
		The central story of the original Art of Fighting is a typical damsel in distress story set in the fictitious city of Southtown (a common setting among SNK games), where the duo of Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia try to rescue Ryo's sister and Robert's love interest, Yuri Sakazaki.
		In the English version of Art of Fighting, the Haoh Shohkoh-Ken is known as the Haow-Ken (which was a translation mistake).

		Art of Fighting is a classic game in many respects, and although it looks very bad by today's standards, it is still enjoyable.

		Into this gripefest falls Art of Fighting, a 40-minute OVA based on a mediocre game I played way back in college when there were too many people in line for Street Fighter 2 (another game-to-anime, I might add).
		You can't hate Art of Fighting, as much as you might try, because it stays constantly peppy and relatively inoffensive despite its absolutely mindless approach.

		"Fighting without fighting" I believe was just meant as a joke on the Australian guy, who was being all boisterous about how great his fighting was, only to be defeated without a punch thrown.
		I was fighting my brother in it one day, and after an entire 5 minute game, I had no clue what I'd done at all, but looking at the scores, I'd massacred my brother.
		You can try to link "fighting without fighting" to it as much as you think, I like to think it was just a witty stab at how he brought the Australian guy down without a single violent action against him.

	AAW: Art of Fighting Review
		Art of Fighting manages to rise above its own mediocrity mainly because the two main characters are so far from the slick, ready to take on the world streetfighters that populate most fighting-game-derived anime that you can't help but like them at least a little.
		The art has a palette of bright, faded-looking colors and is mediocre at best, the character designs aren't anything to write home about either, and the animation is pretty bad.
		In all, Art of Fighting is another mediocre action flick that looks bad, has a tired retread of a plot, weak action, and generally lacks quality in any form.

		Debut director Shin Han-sol's The Art of Fighting is a different sort of action film, one that largely avoids impressive displays of physical movement, and instead focuses on the gritty, sensual aspects of fighting.
