Another early reference to Arthur is in the Historia Britonum, attributed to the Welsh monk Nennius, who is said to have written this compilation of early Welsh history around the year AD In this work Arthur is referred to as a 'leader of battles' rather than as a king.
Arthur, who is described as his kinsman, agrees to the request, and fulfills the demands of Olwen's giant father Ysbadden, which includes his hunt for the great boar Twrch Trwth, described at length by the author.
Arthur was a casualty in his last battle, the Battle of Camlann, which he fought against the forces of Mordred.

An episode interweaving Ganson's character with the cartoon cast was produced by WGBH-TV in Boston and first aired on Dec. 24, 2003.
Although the cartoon Arthur is an aardvark, the animated Ganson, like most guests, is a bear -- in this case, one with a mustache and stained work overalls.
The two Arthurs -- the animated Ganson (above) with Muffy on PBS's "Arthur," and the artist at the MIT Museum (below) with his kinetic sculpture "Machine With Wishbone," which is featured in the cartoon episode.

Not only does he have seniority over Bugs (his first cartoon being Porky's Duck Hunt (Avery, 1937), coming a few years before A Wild Hare), but the little fl duck has demonstrated an amazing range, thanks to the fact that he was directed by a wide variety of WB directors.
Too bad; those who do not study the cartoons of Arthur Davis are missing out on some of the most consistently funny and underrated cartoons WB made.
A classic usage in WB cartoons is in Farm Frolics, when a weasel is startled by the sudden hatching of a clutch of chicks.
