E! Online - Music - Ben Arthur "Edible Darling"
But when Arthur dumps his guts out on songs like "Mary Ann" and "Broken Hearted Smile," backing them with vibrant pop sensibilities and subtle electronic effects, it's clear he's got something bigger in his sights: John Mayer's album sales.
If Ben Harper and Joseph Arthur made a baby, it would sound like Ben Arthur (and look like Bea Arthur, but that's another review).
It's a charming, yearning disc packed with lilting acoustic guitars and lavish melodies, just the kind of thing Harper would make if he didn't really care about getting his songs on the radio.

Arthur Lee Harper - Free Music Downloads, Videos, CDs, MP3s, Bio, Merchandise and Links
Arthur, or Arthur Lee Harper, was as mild-mannered a folk-rock singer/songwriter as there was in the late '60s, singing sad songs that emanated fearful uncertainty, as well as slight airs of self-pity and disengagement.
In a move guaranteed to cause perpetual confusion among discographers and '60s collectors, singer/songwriter Arthur Lee Harper billed himself simply as Arthur (no last name) on his first album, 1968's Dreams and Images, and then as Arthur Lee Harper on his second and last, 1969's Love Is the Revolution.
His thin voice was so high it almost moved into a range associated with woman singers rather than male ones; if you're looking for a reference point from the period who's almost as obscure, there's Bert Sommer, who had a similarly nearly girlish voice.

It further is the basis for a model involving a "hierarchy of dissipative structures." Arthur Peacocke sees this hierarchical model as being analogous with "the early stages of biogenesis and the subsequent evolution to higher forms" wherein the emergence of life is inevitable.

If Peacocke's and Polkinghorne's "input" of information "to the world-as-a-whole" is a secondary causational level physical transfer of a communication involving either particle or wave phenomena, then an input of energy might also be required for this physical transfer to be achieved.
