Agnos won a narrow vote at the city's Board of Supervisors on a 6-5 decision for the tear-down, leading the way to the opening of the San Francisco waterfront into what is widely considered one of the best outcomes from the earthquake.
Agnos was challenged by two liberals for reelection: former sheriff Richard Hongisto and Supervisor Angela Alioto.

She married to Roy W; Neely Feb. 21, 1949, in Agnos and to this union one son was born.
The funeral was Sept. 6 at Agnos Church of Christ.

To the point that I didn't perform the sacrament of confirmation in Grade 5 (try explaining THAT one to my very strictly catholic grandparents).
It was only after reading the Da Vince Code that I got my faith back again, as it brought Christ down to a more believable level, and I now consider myself a Christian again.
When explaining myself in public though, I usually claim to be "a follower of the mighty Lord Agnos" -- an agnostic -- just to avoid the negative connotation when my actual affiliation isn't important.
