The gift from Rock, 76, whose net worth was estimated at $925 million in 2002 by Forbes magazine, is the largest given for a specific academic program since the business school's founding in 1908, Harvard said.
Rock's donation comes as many entrepreneurs struggle for financing while U.S. venture capital firms have an estimated $90 billion of unspent commitments in their coffers.
