A bachelor's degree in arts and letters is an interdisciplinary degree that allows the student to concentrate on courses in the arts and letters as well as enhancing of the student's problem solving and communication skills.
These may vary depending on the number of credits transferred at admission, the amount of lower-division coursework in arts and letters, and whether a minor is being pursued.
A Bachelor of Arts degree requires 12 credits in Arts/Letters (4 credits must be in Fine and Performing Arts), 12 credits in Sciences/Social Sciences (4 credits must be in science), and 4 credits in foreign language numbered 203 or higher (conducted in the target language).

I have been giving a fair bit of thought about your postings regarding promoting the arts in a manner similar to the way religion is being promoted by using other subjects as a starting point.
Then there is the big concern for every arts organization--how do you justify the expense of funds and staff effort on a project that is expressly designed to be so subtle that there is probably no possible way to measure people served or directly attribute increase of attendance to it?
Certainly, since the "tracts" would be informative about arts issues in general rather than focussed on selling a specific performance series, the cost of producing them could be shared by a number of area arts organizations.
