First introduced in 1972 as the "Blue Meanie" version (less than 100 were built), the ARP 2600 evolved over the years to become a synthesizer celebrated by the most respected musicians.
Capable of creating amazing sounds thanks to the exclusive ARP technologies, it can be operated with or without patch cords since all of the functions are internally wired and can be controlled via sliders and switches.
Offering all the features of the original version, Arturia has also added innovative functions such as MIDI control, polyphony, and - hidden behind the speaker panels - revolutionary tracking generators and additional effects.

Arturia Storm Studios don't require any cabling, because instruments are assigned mixer channels according to their position in the Rack, and each instrument has bus sends to each of the Studio's effects.
Arturia Storm's Pattern Sequencers operate slightly differently for different kinds of instruments, but with a few exceptions, the patterns are always one measure of 16th notes.

This — according to Arturia — recreates the soft clipping and distortion that occur when you dial in high levels in the Mixer on a real Minimoog.
In the manual, Arturia state, 'the emulation of the overload circuit is heavy on calculation power, and should be avoided with polyphony or unison'.
But if Arturia could eliminate the digital overloads, sort out some of the bugs and operational peculiarities and reduce the processor load, this could be an excellent synth.

Users could pick and choose which modules they wanted to install in their Moog's wooden cabinets, but Arturia's MMV comes with a pre-determined set of modules which can't be swapped out or changed, unfortunately.

All the Arturia stuff does this although the Mini Moog is the most stable of the bunch.
Cons: it requires a fast cpu, the patch storage system could be better (like in other Arturia's products), sometimes I get white noises changing quickly from a preset to another, and a few other little things that I'm sure will be fixed in a next upgrade.
