Commerce and Law Minister Arun Jaitley is, no doubt, one of the most convincing speakers among the young breed of politicians who can wax eloquent on a range of topics.
Jaitley's fight was also against agricultural produce, meat and dairy produce from the west finding its way into Indian shops because of lower duties and tariff.
Jaitley's argument was that rich countries must first remove these obstacles before the poorer countries are asked to open up.
