AVRUA is an organisation which represents and campaigns for the interests of rail users in the Arun Valley
The Arun Valley Rail Partnership is a grouping of some 30 organisations and individuals - Parish and District Councils, local Community Partnerships, bus companies, Sustrans, South Downs Joint Committee, Arundel Festival and Gatwick Airport.
On the Arun Valley line, modern, air-conditioned trains can take you to the South Downs, the market towns of Arundel, Pulborough and Billingshurst, the employment and shopping centres of Horsham, Crawley and Chichester, the coastal resorts of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, or to Gatwick Airport and London.

The article as originally written falls into the trap set for many of these lines - namely that is a railway line in its own right.
It is not - as can be seen from the map I have now put as the External link - simply the name given by the Southern to describe the services on the route, which run from London to Portsmouth Harbour.
The section shown is just one part of the Arun Valley Line and as can be seen from the History I have now included, made up of distinct original parts.

At times the terrain can be frustrating, with the trail diverting into side valleys and being far from a direct line to Pangum, however it is interesting country to trek.

The trek from Khumbu over the Salpa La to the Arun Valley starts on the main Everest tourist 'highway' in Solu Khumbu and diverts into more adventurous parts heading southeast through the eastern district of Sankhuwasabha, crossing three ranges and two major rivers to reach the Arun Valley.
The route follows the same ground, albeit in reverse as H.W. Tilman on his approach to the Khumbu Valley in the autumn of 1950.
You can finish the Arun Valley trek at the Tumlingtar Airstrip, or further south at the road-head near Hille.

 Sussex Main Lines - 2 Worthing to Ford
Goring was an original station on the line but whether the present building dates from 1846 is doubtful as it is not built of flint with brick quoins.
The next station westward is Ford which opened in 1846 as Arundel, being renamed Ford for Littiehampton when the Littlehampton branch and the Arun valley line from Pulborough to Ford were opened in 1863.
On January 1st 1887 a new alignment was opened to allow through running to Littlehampton from both the Arun Valley Line and Brighton eliminating the need to change at Ford.
