Arvicolinae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Arvicolinae is a subfamily of rodents that includes the voles, lemmings, and muskrats.
Sometimes the subfamily Arvicolinae is placed in the family Muridae along with all other members of the superfamily Muroidea.
Some authorities have placed the zokors within the Arvicolinae, but they have been shown to be unrelated.

 Parazitologiya 1998/32/4. Bochkov, Mironov
Host-parasite associations of myobiid mite taxa with vole taxa (Arvicolinae) and some peculiarities of mite and host taxa distribution are analysed.
The lemnina group lives on hosts of 2 subtribes of the tribe Arvicolini (Arvicolina and Clethrionomyina) and is restricted to Eurasian range, except R.
The recent pattern of myobiid species distribution on vole species is a result of both a mite cospeciation with their hosts and a shift of hosts.

To determine the number and distribution of hantaviruses in North America, we conducted a nucleotide sequence analysis of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) fragment amplified from a large number of representative HPS patient and hantavirus-infected rodent samples from throughout the region.
Overall hantavirus phylogenetic tree based on analysis of a 139 nucleotide fragment of the G2 coding region of the virus M segment.
The three virus groups corresponding to the hantaviruses carried by rodents of the subfamilies Murinae, Sigmodontinae and Arvicolinae are indicated.
