 Asaf ad-Dawlah Mir Ali Salabat Jang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nawab Sayyid Muhammad Khan Bahadur was born in Hyderabad as the third son of Asaf Jah I before 24 November 1718.
Asaf ad-Dawlah Mir Ali Salabat Jang was appointed as Deputy Viceroy to his elder brother, Ghazi ud-din (official name:Amir ul-Umara, Nizam ul-Mulk, Asaf ud-Daula, Nawab Mir Ghazi ud-din Khan Bahadur, Firuz Jang), 1751.
He was deposed by his brother, Asaf Jah II, on July 8, 1762 and ordered held in Bidar Fort prison where he was killed on September 16, 1763.

He was a general in the Mughal empire who was designated governor of the deccan, and sent to south India.

Mir Akbar Ali Khan Sikander Jah was born on 11th November 1768 After the death of Nizam Ali Khan he became the Subedar of the Deccan on 11th, August 1803.
During the reign of Nizam Ali Khan Asaf Jah II a treaty was made whereby in return of certain benefits the east India company agreed to provide an army at Hyderabad for the support of the ruler.

Well, popular folklore has it that Asaf Jah went to visit the Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, before embarking on his journey to the Deccan, who invited him to share his simple meal.
After wolfing down four kulchas, Asaf Jah stopped and apologised for his hunger, but the Sufi saint urged him to go on and eat as many as he could.
Asaf Jah finally ate seven kulchas, and Hazrat Nizamudin blessed him saying that seven generations of his family would rule the Deccan.

The seniormost (21-gun) princely state in British India, Hyderabad was an 82,000 square mile (212,000 km²) princely state in the Deccan ruled by the Asaf Jah dynasty of Muslim rulers, who had the title of Nizam and style of His Exalted Higness.
The resulting standoff ended with the state's occupation by Indian troops on September 13-17, 1948 and its incorporation as a state of India the next year.
