		Asheridge (or Ashridge) is a small village and common in Buckinghamshire, England, close to the border with Hertfordshire.
		Asheridge is a hamlet of the parish of Chesham and doesn't have its own parish church.
		Asheridge Common has featured many times in film and television series due to its distinction as an area of natural beauty.

	Pitstone (including part of Barley End, Frithsden, part of Horton and Nettleden)
		The chief property of Pitston was given to the monastery of Asheridge founded at the extremity of this parish on the borders of Hertfordshire, in the year 1283, by Edmund earl of Cornwall.
		The earl of Cornwall died at Asheridge in the year 1300, having given the manors of Pitston and Asheridge to the convent, which consisted of a rector and 20 canons of a religious order called Bonhommes, who wore a blue habit.
		In 1574, Asheridge, with the lands which had belonged to the convent, was granted in exchange to Dudley and Ayscough, who acted, it is probable, as trustees for Henry Lord Cheyne of Toddington, to whom it was immediately conveyed.

	Bike Riding in Buckinghamshire
		This ride is almost 100 kilometers (62 miles) long, but can easily be shortened by creating a loop variation from either Chesham or Tring (approximately 30 miles NW of London).
		The ride starts from outside the train station in Hemel Hempstead, heads NW around beautiful Asheridge Park, then south on to Tring and the Chilterns before heading north again to Chesham and finishing at the Tring British Rail station.
		Highlights include the roads around Asheridge Park, the steep climb to Dunsmore, the quaint town of Little Missenden and the undulating roads just outside of Chesham.
