ASIA-PACIFIC airlines have started to show signs of recovery after suffering a blow earlier in the year, registering only a 4.6-percent decline in passenger traffic in August from a 14-percent drop in July, according to data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Airlines in the region continued to respond well to the decline in passenger volume by cutting available capacity by 4.4 percent in August.
Airlines in other parts of the world showed growth in passenger volume in August.
