Being not very knowledgable about world distributation I would like to know if your White's Thrush is the same species as the one here in Australia whose name has recently been changed to Bassian Thrush.
Bassian Thrush and Russet-tailed are different species but quite similar in appearance.
Some great birds there, Stu, and White's Thrush is a dream bird for quite a few of us in Europe as you'll know.

A female or immature Asian Paradise-flycatcher was seen at Sukhumvit Soi 41 on 18 October (RD) and a male incei at Khlong Bangkaew on 28 October (PK).
A male Orange-headed Thrush was seen on Khao Khieo, Khao Yai on 15 June (RK) and a nest with two young, with both adults in attendance, was found on Khao Laem, Khao Yai, at 1260 m elevation on 18 June (NK/HPT).
Both the Japanese Thrush and the Rufous-tailed Robin in Khao Yai were still present on 14 February (SK), while the number of Orange-headed Thrushes feeding close by the Japanese Thrush had risen to four by that time (SK).

We visited the country in the ‘dry’ season, but even then we had quite a few days with a few hours rain, the rest of the day was warm and sunny, except at Horton Plains NP where it was cold and windy.
Victoria Park, a large urban park, is situated in the centre of Nuwara Eliya and is a winter stopover for Pied Thrush, Indian Pitta, Indian Blue Robin and Kashmir Flycatcher.
Pied Thrush, Kashmir Flycatcher and Ceylon Magpie, lifers all of course, but not all endemics.

On 5th March, the dusky thrush was still at Ghantut (waiting for Bruce Hansen, who had flown down specially from Oslo on a long-distance - and UAE record - twitch, with 2 red-rumped swallows in the nearby plantations.
On 9th March, a blue rock thrush was in a garden in the Mushrif area of Abu Dhabi (still there on the 10th), while a semi-collared flycatcher (without collar) was in Mushrif Palace Gardens (and provoked quite a lot of debate over the next few days).
A female Asian koel flew across the road between the farm and the main mosque — clearly a different bird to the male seen by a group of German birders a few weeks ago.

This is a southern bird that is another sample of what can ‘pop up’ in this remarkable habitat zone of western central Thailand.
Another sample was a female Asian Emerald Cuckoo high in the canopy.
Outside of breeding season the park seem quite quiet with less birds calling and it called for some sharp eyes to ‘draw out’ and identify any movement.
