Cats, with the notable exception of lions and to a lesser extent domestic cats, are habitually solitary, however they are sometimes are found in pairs (either m/m, f/f or m/f) or larger groups consisting of a single adult female and her immature young.
Cats do not actually see in the dark, but they can see quite well in a light environment that appears dark to humans because of the physical limitations of our eyes, effectively their sight is 6 times better than ours under low-light conditions, albeit it is merely equal to ours in normal daylight.
Cats produce species specific and individually specific odours from their anal sacs as well as from three special sets of scent glands; these are known as their facial (on the face), interdigital (between the toes) and subcaudal (beneath the tail) glands.

 Asiatic Golden Cat
Wozencraft, in his controversial1993 reassessment of cat taxonomy, considers Temminck’s golden cat to be in the genus Catopuma, along with the Bornean bay cat which is said to be an island version of Temminck’s cat (Wozencraft 1993).
Fontainier’s cat is very heavily patterned in comparison to the other two subspecies and because of this it was regarded for a long time as a variety of the leopard cat.
This may indicate that Temminck’s cats have a tendency to be sociable, and the male to stay with the female.

During its captivity the cat was only ever fed chicken, rat, rabbit and kangaroo meat." After the cat's death from pancreatitis, routine pathological screening of tissues collected at autopsy revealed lesions suggestive of TSE.
