Bangladesh claimed their first medal of these Commonwealth Games when 15-year-old Asif Hossain Khan struck gold in the shooting.
Khan also set a new Commonwealth Games record as he held his nerve to beat hot favourite Abhinav Bindra in the men's 10-metre air rifle individual singles final.
Bindra recorded a score of 9.1 with his final shot, but Khan had a 9.9 to finish with 691.9 and beat the former record of 690, set by England's 1998 Commonwealth champion Chris Hector.

The talented Abhinav Bindra clinched a silver medal as the Indian shooters swelled their overall tally to eight gold, three silver and one bronze medal in the 17th Commonwealth Games on Wednesday.
Khan, the youngest member of the eight-strong Bangladesh shooting team, won the first ever gold medal for his country, scoring with 691.9 points, and also set a new Commonwealth Games record.
Bindra recorded a score of 9.1 with his final shot, but Khan held his nerve for a 9.9, to finish with 691.9 and better the record of 690, set by England's 1998 Commonwealth champion Chris Hector, who finished seventh.

What was happening elsewhere though was that the lead group was tightening up and the 5th placed Khan of Bangladesh was coming up and the first and second place competitors were tied after the sixth shot.
Khan had a very impressive final, coming from 5th to win and did so with a new Commonwealth Games record score of 691.9.
Khan however was overjoyed and at just 15 years of age he should be a name to look out for in the future.
