Denktas said that Haga's visit to the island would help her see the realities of the island and the injustices which the Turkish Cypriots had been subjected to for decades.
Haga, for her part, said that intensified business contacts between the two Cypriot communities could contribute to a final solution and stressed that such contacts constituted the base for the Oslo agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.
